Red Hot Choice is the latest son of Redoute’s Choice to sire a winner following Chillie Storm’s barrier-to-box victory at Bunbury.

The Roy Rogers trained youngster is the first foal to race by Red Hot Choice.  He had been caught wide on debut at Albany but jumped straight to the front second-up and established a clear lead to win the JCW Electrical 2YO Maiden (1016m) by a length on Wednesday.

Chillie Storm (2g Red Hot Choice – Stormy Maddie by Metal Storm) was bred by part-owner Ron Sayers and is a half-brother to winners by Danetime, Redoutable and Scandal Keeper.

Their dam Stormy Maddie won 9 races in Kalgoorlie and her final foal is a Scandal Keeper filly catalogued as Lot 17 for the Yarradale Stud yearling sale on May 17.

Red Hot Choice stands at Mungrup Stud after injury curtailed his career to just 8 starts.  He was runner-up to Gimcrack Stakes winner For Your Eyes Only at two and returned to win his maiden at Pinjarra as a spring three year-old.

Stepped up black-type company at Ascot, he was runner-up to God Has Spoken in the LR Aquanita Stakes (1800m) and bowed out after another second to Impressive Jeuney in the LR WA St Leger (2100m).
