The owners of Resonates have chosen Oakland Park’s new sire Sessions for the free service won as part of her victory in the LR Matchmaker Stakes (1430m) at Ascot.

Resonates (4m Teofilo – Cuff by Warning) is raced by the Slater family from their Rural Vista property at North Dandalup.  “She had a soft lead in the Matchmaker and being on the small side appreciated 55kg,” trainer Gavin Slater said.  “I had her spot-on for the Starstruck Classic but she got a cough and had to be eased up for six weeks.

“She’s done more than enough this campaign and will go for a holiday now.  We like Lonhro and that’s why we picked Sessions.”

Resonates is one of five winners bred by the Slaters from English mare Cuff.  Her final foal is a 2yo colt by Vital Equine.

The first four home in the Matchmaker won free services to the following stallions:
2ND   Need A Lift (Passenger) – Universal Ruler at Scenic Lodge
3RD   Fathnoxious (Fath) – He’s A Decoy at Westbury Park
4TH   Can’t Say Too Much (Special Bond) – Ouqba at Heytesbury Stud
