Fable of Arachne has saluted a second time for Mungrup Stud shuttler Dick Turpin in England.

The two year-old filly scored by three-quarters of a length in the Play Scoop 6 Nursery (1400m) at Chelmsford on Thursday.  She chased the leader Leitrim Traveller (Henrythenavigator) and then ranged up to get the upper hand at the furlong.

“That was a game win,” trainer Stuart Williams said.  “She’s a tough, genuine filly and what a fighter!”

Williams trains out of Diomed Stables at Newmarket and he prepares the homebred filly for Cambridgeshire couple David and Carol Shekells who operate Old Mill Stud.

Fable of Arachne (2f Dick Turpin – Las Hilanderas by El Prado) had won her maiden at Chelmsford in August and she was unlucky not to win again in September when a half-length second to Multigifted at Kempton.

Dick Turpin shuttles from the English National Stud to Mungrup Stud for an $8,800 (inc gst) service fee.
