Former Patinack Farm colt Pitleco sired his first winner at Esperance on Saturday.

The Brendan Corver trainer Gold Club opened his account with a fast-finishing victory in the Concrete World Maiden (1300m).  The three year-old gelding had been placed five times at Ascot and Belmont in 2015.

Gold Club is the first foal of unraced Oratorio (Ire) mare Gold Label who hails from the extended family of Black Caviar, All Too Hard and Magnus.  She has a 2yo filly by Pitleco and foaled a Trade Fair colt in September.

Pitleco (Exceed And Excel) is a half-brother to Group 1 winners Easy Rocking (Barathea) and Fairy King Prawn (Danehill).  He was a $310,000 buy for Anthony Cummings and Nathan Tinkler at the 2008 Inglis Easter yearling sale but a leg injury prevented him from racing.

Initially based at Greenfields Stud in Capel, Pitleco now stands for a $2,200 (inc gst) fee at Kim Loxton’s Ferrari Racing & Breeding in Serpentine.
