Majinika moved Starline Park stallion Izmir off the mark at Pinjarra on Sunday.

The Adam Durrant trained gelding was racing second-up after a debut second at Narrogin on December 19.  He tracked Bank On Buzz and then took over when the leader caved in to score by a length in the Aurora Landscaping Maiden (1200m).

Majinika is the first foal from Bettabon (Ron Bon) and her latest cover was to Heytesbury Stud sire Ouqba (GB) in November.  She’s a member of a long-standing Sunspeed family going back to Marjoleo (Indian Conquest) who won a Railway Stakes and Winterbottom Stakes as well as a G1 Marlboro Plate in Adelaide.

Izmir is an unraced Red Ransom brother to Darley Victoria sire Domesday and he initially stood at Rivercrest Stud before relocating to Starline Park at Wooroloo.
