Group 1 winning mare Magnifisio will be entered for the Magic Millions National Sale after completing her current campaign.

Magnifisio has won 12 of her 29 starts and will sign off in the LR Northam Stakes on May 1 before going under the hammer at the Gold Coast Sale.  “If she doesn’t reach her reserve, we will send her to a sire over in the east,” managing part-owner Alan MacAlister.  “She was only a shadow of herself last year but she’s put in weight and looks a million.”

MacAlister knocked back offers from Japan and the Hunter Valley in August before a winless summer campaign at Ascot.  The 2014 Winterbottom Stakes winner finished down the track behind Buffering in 2015 edition and was last seen finishing second to Watermans Bay in the G3 Scahill Stakes.

Magnifisio (6m Magnus – Ifestio by Key Business) was bred by Rangeview Stud and has earned over $1.35 million.  She is from a sister to Group 1 sprinter Barakey who won the Winterbottom in 2012.
