Long, long-distance double by Alfred Nobel

Lynward Park’s Alfred Nobel sired a long, long distance double over the weekend.

Three-year-old filly Undisclosed gained her third win from four starts when taking the Julian Sullivan Farewell Handicap (1000m) at Ascot.

Then, 13,550km away, Tough And Fast, also a 3yo filly, won The Newcomers (1500m) at Pisa, in Italy, on debut.

Both fillies set the pace and won convincingly.

Undisclosed, trained by Colin Webster, is from Agra, a dual winning half-sister to Victorian Group 3 winner Time Matters and is from the immediate family of Melbourne Cup winner Rogan Josh.

Tough And Fast, trained by Giada Ligas, was bred in Ireland where her dam, Cannot Give, won twice.

Alfred Nobel, winner of the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes and Group 2 Railway Stakes in Ireland, has sired 56 individual winners.
