Around Jindabyne produced a fourth winner for Clare Downs Stud owners Norm and Jeannine Burren when her final foal Dodge ‘Em scored an all-the-way victory at Pinjarra on Thursday.

Dodge ‘Em (3g Demerit – Around Jindabyne by Akhenaton) won the Bendigo Bank Maiden (1200m) eased down by over a length from short-priced favourite Secret Style (Justify) and Lova Session (Sessions).

“He was beaten an absolute pimple last start but free-wheeled in dominant fashion today,” trainer Steve Wolfe said.  “He was well-handled by Peter Knuckey and it’s a terrific result for our long-time client and friend Ron Beacham.”

Dodge ‘Em was a $35,000 buy for Beacham at the 2021 Perth Magic Millions and was initially with Adam Durrant before debuting for Wolfe when third to his former stablemate Supersession (Sessions) at Belmont in January.

Around Jindabyne had won a Broome maiden for Perth bloodstock agent John Chalmers and her older half-sister Salisbury Street (Blevic) was a Listed winner of the 2005 Sheila Gwynne Stakes (1650m).

Her first winner for the Burrens, who are based in the Great Southern, was Cool Trade in the LR Scenic Blast Stakes of 2015 and she was followed Emerald Trader and Precious Cargo.  All three were by Alwyn Park sire Trade Fair (GB) and her fourth is from the final crop of Taunton Vale stallion Demerit.
