Jazz Affair continued her consistent form to bring up a double for leading breeder Tony Patrizzi in the Sportsbet Hcp (1250m) at Morphettville on Saturday.

Patrizzi bred her from the final crop of Taunton Vale sire Demerit (Lonhro) and she sold to Adelaide trainers Richard & Chantelle Jolly for $28,000 at the 2021 Perth Magic Millions as part of the Misty Valley Thoroughbreds at Greenfields Lodge consignment to the Swan Valley.

Last week’s first-leg had arrived on Thursday when Sessions filly Jaz Session duelled with Kings Honour (King’s Troop) before defeating the favourite in the TABtouch Maiden (1000m) at Pinjarra.  She also sold under Patrizzi’s Misty Valley banner for $24,000 at the 2022 Perth Magic Millions.

They are the first two daughters of Jaz Me Up and the War Chant (USA) mare has a 2yo filly by Snippetson and a yearling filly by Gingerbread Man.

“Jazz Affair collected a second win from her last three starts and her recent form is no fluke,” Richard Jolly said.

“It’s good to see her on the up after a slow start to her career.  She pinched her maiden on the post at Strathalbyn thanks to a strong ride by Jake (Toeroek).”

In-form trainer Justine Erkelens also thanked Jade McNaught for getting Jaz Session home at Pinjarra.  “That was an excellent ride and the filly won with style.”
