Yarradale Stud goes into Day 1 of The Pinnacles on the back of an amazing start to November and that augurs well for Ron’s Finalflutter in the G3 Champion Fillies Stakes (1600m) at Ascot this Saturday.

Ron’s Finalflutter (Written Tycoon) was bred by Yarradale and she is vying for favouritism at $3.80 behind Flower Of Gold (Bull Point) at $3.60.  They were placed in the LR Burgess Queen Stakes (1400m) dress-rehearsal and the winner London’s Image (Headwater) hasn’t accepted for the 3yo fillies grand-final.

Yarradale struck with its third city double this month when Playful Star (Playing God) and On Patrol (War Chant) were successful at Belmont on Wednesday.

They followed Yarradale doubles the previous week at Ascot when War Matters (War Chant) and Wubin Gold (Shooting To Win) were followed by Cashel Palace (Street Boss) and Nonesospicy (Gingerbread Man) on Melbourne Cup Day.

Cashel Palace provides a strong second string for Yarradale in the Champion Fillies.  She was bred and sold for $160,000 at the 2023 Magic Millions and has opened at $20 following that promising maiden win last Tuesday.

Trainer Dan Morton is confident Ron’s Finalflutter can go one better in the Champion Fillies and a stable report in ANZ Bloodstock News on Thursday confirmed that positive outlook.  “Everyone saw how well she hit the line last time in the Burgess Queen.  She’s just got this real determination about her.  When she balances up, she can really let rip the last 200 metres.  It’s a tremendous attribute.”

Ron’s Finalflutter (3f Written Tycoon – Pasadena Girl by Savabeel) was retained by Yarradale after bidding failed to reach a $140,000 reserve at the 2023 Perth Magic Millions.  Her dam had cost $360,000 at the 2021 Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale carrying Ron’s Finalflutter.

Pasadena Girl is a fertile girl.  After delivering the Written Tycoon filly first-up in the west, she has a 2yo filly named Downtown Pasadena (War Chant) that was also retained and a yearling colt by Playing God.

Gingerbread Man (Shamardal) is standing for a $5,500 (inc GST) service fee at Yarradale this season.  Stud manager Davy Hanratty can be contacted for bookings or further details on (08) 9574 6490 or 0429 326 904.
