The wheel turned full-circle when Forest View Farm owners Ben and Jo Duncan purchased Garden Of Eden at the 2017 Inglis Broodmare Sale in Sydney.
They bought the Blackfriars mare for $20,000 at Riverside Stables with Victorian-based Rushton Park owners David and Kayley Johnston and her latest win for the partnership arrived with Yougivemechills in the Procon Australia Hcp (1300m) at Northam on Thursday.
Garden Of Eden was bred by Ben’s parents Neville & Susan Duncan at Oakland Park and she’s a half-sister to 10-time black-type winning homebred Grand Nirvana (Scenic). Their dam Paradise Park (Bletchley Park) won a G3 WA Sires’ Produce Stakes and it’s the Group 1 family of Rogan Josh & Machine Gun Tom.

Yougivemechills is a baldy-faced son of Darley’s former Victorian shuttler Frosted (Tapit) and he’s the fourth winner for Garden Of Eden since she changed hands following Adam’s Apple (Nicconi), All About Eve (Star Turn) and Too Big (So You Think).
Her latest foal is a new-season 2yo filly by Dundeel (NZ) that was purchased by Mark Pilkington at the Perth Magic Millions in February.
Simon Miller prepares Yougivemechills for a Ladies syndicate with many hailing from racing families with familiar surnames like Chalwell, Meadowcroft, McRostie, Quinlivan, Fairthorne, Skinner and Litton. He prevailed in a busy finish from Enchanted Star (I Am Invincible) and Pat’s Last Bang (Patronize).
“Well done ladies and I can hear the bottle popping already!” Miller said. “It was a just reward for the big fella who has been racing with no luck. And he got the job done with Willie Pike on for first time.”
They purchased Yougivemechills from Forest View Farm for $110,000 at the 2023 Perth Magic Millions. “It’s a cracking WA family,” Ben Duncan said prior to the Swan Valley Sale. “This bloke is a ripper and will surely just keep improving being a November foal.”
Miller and Pike struck again on Saturday with Madhi Girl in the Albert Jordan Hcp (1000m) at Pinjarra. The daughter of Geisel Park sire Winning Rupert (Written Tycoon) has now earned $392,000 including Westspeed Platinum bonuses of $129,000 for owner Teleah Hulse.
Madhi Girl’s dam Very Angry Gal (Gingerbread Man) was an Ascot 2yo winner for Miller and she’s a half-sister to LR Bolton Sprint (1200m) winner Profit Street (Viscount). She foaled a Universal Ruler filly last September and was bred back to Winning Rupert who is standing for a $6,600 (inc GST) fee this season.
