The Kalgoorlie round is just around the corner and Pearce Racing can play a hand with Influencing after his victory in the Kambalda Cup (1400m) on Sunday.

Racing second-up, Influencing improved his career card to 6 wins in 18 starts with a last-stride victory over It’s A Lance (Blackfriars) and Feuding (Shooting To Win).  “He’s closing in on $300,000 for an all-ladies ownership group!” Pearce Racing posted on Facebook.  Ascot Photo / Western Racepix

“He enjoyed the run of the race before working into the clear on straightening.  He’s back to his best and it was a great ride by young Natika Riordan.”

Influencing (5g Oratorio – Surrendering by Danehill Express) was bred and sold by Dawson Stud for $60,000 at the 2022 Perth Magic Millions.  He won at Ascot (2) and Belmont last year before adding the Coastal Midwest Hcp (1400m) at the Kalgoorlie Cup meeting in October.

Connections are now likely to aim him at the $150,000 LR Hannans Handicap (1400m) on October 2.

Influencing descends from the Mungrup Stud family of Moccasin Bend (G2 WA Guineas), World Of Fun (LR N J Way Stakes) and Surrender To Me (LR Raconteur Stakes).  His dam Surrendering has also thrown the winners Cable Boy (A Lot) and Defending (Oratorio) and Pearce Racing has nominated the latter for the TABtouch Hcp (1300m) at Pinjarra this Wednesday.

Forrestdale trainer Brock Lewthwaite is also gearing up for a successful Goldfields campaign after preparing a double at yesterday’s meeting with Bondi’s Son (Bondi) in the Aquila Mining Maiden (1400m) and High Precision (Star Witness) in the Kambalda Football Club Hcp (1760m).

High Precision is a beautifully-bred 8yo mare owned by Lewthwaite and is one of nine winners from Issey (Encosta de Lago) who is a half-sister to Group 2 winners Star Of Giselle (Reset) and Solicit (Street Cry). Second-dam Princesa (Danehill) won a LR Straight Six (1200m) at Flemington and third-dam Kapchat (Centaine) won a G1 Coolmore Classic (1500m) at Rosehill when it was known as the Winfield Classic in 1994.

High Precision will make a perfect match for Lewthwaite’s stallion Super Easy (NZ) who will be covering his second book at Roselee Park in Serpentine this season.  Lewthwaite purchased him from Hallmark Stud where he sired over 100 individual winners to Group 1 level with Bonny Lass in last year’s Waikato Sprint at Te Rapa.

Super Easy (Darci Brahma) will stand for $5,500 alongside Super One (I Am Invincible) who is priced at $8,000.  Both fees (inc GST).  For bookings or further information, call Roselee Park’s Tracy Rodwell on (08) 9525 7715  or  0400 011 691.
