All On Red opened the Ascot season with a dominant victory in the opening 2yo race of the season for part-owner and trainer Tiarnna Noske on Saturday.
The good-looking chestnut took over from early leader Sovereign Rock (Awesome Rock) in the Vale Lindsay Severn Initial Plate (1000m) and let down off the corner to score with something in hand under Luke Campbell. All On Red is an August foal and won by more than two lengths from the Ryan Hill-trained stablemates Dawn Dancer (Headwater) and Kute As Kan Be (Acrobat) in a performance that had Noske in raptures.
“He’s super professional and we’re absolutely stoked with that effort,” Tiarnna said as her Group 1-winning husband Jarrad Noske led the winner back to scale. “And it’s our first winner since moving down to the farm at Coolup.”
All On Red is by Widden Stud’s Group 2 VRC Danehill Stakes (1200m) winner Doubtland (Not A Single Doubt) and was a $62,500 buy at the 2025 Perth Magic Millions. “He’s been well-schooled and never looked in trouble today,” Noske added. “He’s well-balanced and a real runner. You could have put a saddle straight on him after coming home from the Yearling Sale.”
Bred and sold by Scenic Lodge owner Jeremy Smith, he’s the first foal from Poker Face (Snippetson) who was prepared by Paige Kenney to complete a winning hat-trick as a winter 3yo at Pinjarra (2) and Belmont. A TBWA race report on 27 June 2021 predicted “the beautifully-bred filly will be valuable addition to the broodmare ranks at Scenic Lodge.”
Poker Face is a younger half-sister to Karuta Queen who won the 2011 RL Magic Millions 2YO Classic on the Gold Coast and G3 Australia Stakes at Moonee Valley. Smith had bought into the family 18 months earlier when purchasing their dam Card Queen (Final Card) for $55,000 from Turangga Farm at the 2009 Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale. Poker Face has yearling colt by Aysar and weanling colt by Universal Ruler back home in Muchea.
