Playing God 3yo filly Miss Profligacy overcame a chequered run in transit to win the Westwide Tracking Maiden (1000m) at Northam on Sunday for in-form trainer Mitch Pateman.

Miss Profligacy had finished a close second to Seven No Trumps (Bondi) in a Belmont barrier trial last month and went out a $4 favourite on debut for an all-aged maiden in the Avon Valley.  She settled a half-dozen lengths off the speed and then had to steady from heels when attempting to improve at the 700m mark.

She recovered and tracked Cachaca (Headwater) into the straight before responding for Pat Carbery to score by over a length from front-runner My Testimony (Star Witness) and Incredible Mr Fox (Snippetson).

Miss Profligacy was bred by David Moore at Elvira Park in Brunswick and she was sold as a yearling for $4,250 to clients of Pateman when Moore was reducing his stock at the 2025 Inglis January Online Sale.

Champion WA stallion Playing God sired her from Songburg who was a multiple city winner for Amelia Park.  Her latest foals are a 2yo colt by Playing God and an Aysar filly born on September 3.  There are four Perth-based black-type winning fillies further down the page including Mizlecki (Lope de Vega) who foaled Please Mizter (War Chant) to win the TABtouch Hcp (1600m) in Kalgoorlie on Hannans Hcp Day.
