Champion WA 2YO Super Smink (Super One) has been entered for the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale at the Gold Coast next month.

A last start winner of the G3 Irwin Stakes (1200m) in Adelaide, the Dan Morton-trained mare will be sold through the Vinery Stud consignment on May 26 and 27.  Raced by a 20-member syndicate managed by Morton’s wife Carol, she has won seven races, all in black-type, for prizemoney over $1.65 million.

“Super Smink was ultra impressive winning the Irwin Stakes and she’s a valuable broodmare prospect,” Vinery General Manager Adam White said.  “She is already a mare that will generate a lot of interest given all her wins have come at stakes level.

“The way she attacked the line in the Irwin shows she’s going to be a real force in the (G1) Robert Sangster Stakes and (G1 Goodwood Hcp leading up to the Magic Millions Sale.”

Super Smink (5m Super One – Sminky Shorts by Snitzel) was bred by Forest View Farm’s Ben and Jo Duncan and descends from blue chip WA blue hen Most Secret (Bletchley Park).

The Duncans sold her Playing God yearling half-sister to Belmont Bloodstock’s Damon Gabbedy for $200,000 at this year’s Perth Magic Millions.

“From what she did early on and to be still going is tremendous,” Morton declared.  “She’s going super and it’s our job to make sure we tick every box.”

Super Smink swept Perth’s major juvenile features in the 2023 RL Magic Millions 2YO Classic, G2 Karrakatta Plate and G3 WA Sires’ Produce Stakes.  She has continued to perform across multiple seasons adding the 2024 G3 Asian Beau Stakes (1400m) and 2025 G2 Lee Steere Stakes (1400m) prior to a winning interstate raid this year.
