Perfect Sister made the perfect start to her new career with Tom Wolfe winning the TABtouch Hcp (1100m) in Albany on Thursday.

Resuming from a spell and a change of scenery from Perth to the Great Southern, the Gingerbread Man filly recaptured the form that was evident in April last year when she was a very impressive Ascot debutante for trainer Dan Morton.

It earned a G2 Karrakatta Plate appearance for Perfect Sister but it went downhill from there to a fifth unplaced outing in a Class 1 at Northam.  Looking for new scenery, Greenfields Lodge owner-breeder Tony Patrizi sent her south to Wolfe and she was sweet from Day 1.  “She settled into life in our system better than we could have imagined,” Wolfe posted following her first-up victory.  “She got the job done and we’re hopeful she has plenty more to offer this prep.  It was a very easy watch as Tash Faithful guided her to a comfortable one length victory to put her back into the winners circle.”

Yarradale Stud resident Gingerbread Man sired Perfect Sister from Corrilya.  She is a half-sister to 2014 Magic Millions WA 2YO Classic (1200m) winner Cadenza (Oratorio) and her latest foal is unraced 2yo colt Manbury (Manhattan Rain).  Corrilya was bred by the late De Grey Park owner Dick Vincent as was her close relation Barely A Moment (Gilded Time) who was a multiple Melbourne Group 1 winner for Lindsay Park.
