Kelstar Park
Darling View sire Lightsaber (Zoustar) has his initial 2yo crop ready to fire and Witchy Woman was the first seen out when placed in a Belmont trial for Josh Brown last month. His latest foals include this filly from Born Spicy (Gingerbread Man) who is a daughter of G2 Karrakatta Plate (1200m) winner Born Priceless (Pricelessly).
Kingsgrove Stud
A screenshot of a video had to suffice of this Lightsaber colt from Nightingales (Street Cry) who wouldn’t keep still for a portrait. His Darley-bred dam also has a yearling filly by Lightsaber. The colt is the fifth foal to arrive at Kingsgrove Stud and Susan Benthien reports there’s another three to go before she gets a good night’s sleep.
Impressive Racing
This Gingerbread Man foal is already a more than valuable colt after his older half-brother Albirex (Universal Ruler) was a brilliant first-up winner of the Initial Plate (1000m) at Ascot on Saturday. Their Impressive Racing dam Niigata (Reset) also has a yearling colt by Awesome Rock.
Scenic Lodge
This cheeky and curious colt is a chestnut son of resident sire Universal Ruler and Keeper Quiet (Scandal Keeper) who was runner-up to Luke’s Luck in the G2 Karrakatta Plate and G3 WA Sires’ Produce Stakes of 2012. Keeper Quiet has also foaled the winners Keeper Sweet (Gingerbread Man), Keeper Mean (Stratum) and Keeper Keen (Sebring).
