We are delighted to invite you to join our annual celebration of the Western Australian thoroughbred breeding and racing industry.

This year promises to be a fantastic day of celebration, recognition and industry camaraderie, as we come together to acknowledge the achievements of the people who contribute so much to our industry.

We hope to continue our Stallion Leaderboard competition which fostered plenty of healthy competition at last year’s event, and are currently seeking a sponsor to support this fun feature and continue to recognise and engage the state’s Stallion owners.

A highlight of this year’s event will be the launch of the TBWA Industry Awards, a rebranding of our Staff Awards.  Invitations for nominations will be sent out later this week.  The deadline for this year’s nominations is 1 December 2026.

The new awards have been designed to recognise the broader contribution of people working throughout the thoroughbred industry, from those who are new and making their mark, through to individuals who have dedicated much of their working lives to our industry.

There are four exciting categories:

> Industry Newcomer Award
> Horsemanship Award 
> Lifetime Achievement Award
> Thoroughbred Care & Welfare Award

We look forward to celebrating the nominees and announcing all of our Award winners winners on Awards Day.

Tickets for the 2026 Awards Day retail at $250 per person, however, TBWA is pleased to subsidise every ticket by $50, meaning members can attend for the reduced rate of $200 per person.

This subsidy is part of TBWA’s commitment to bringing our industry together and ensuring our annual Awards Day remains an accessible and enjoyable celebration for our members and the wider industry.

A limited number of race sponsorships will also be available for businesses and organisations wishing to support the event and showcase their involvement in the WA thoroughbred industry.

Exclusive Members rate for Race Sponsorship – $1,000 + GST

Race sponsorship will provide an excellent opportunity to promote your business as part of the Awards Day program, with race naming and associated sponsorship recognition.

Additional function tickets for race sponsors who are TBWA members will also be available at the further subsidised rate of $175 per person.

Please note that the exclusive members rate only allows your breeding operation to be associated with the race sponsorship, and not any other businesses you may be involved in.  If you choose to sponsor a race for a non-breeding operation the rate of $1,250 (+GST) will apply, with additional tickets available to purchase at $200 per person.

With only a limited number of sponsorship opportunities available, we encourage interested businesses to contact TBWA early to secure their preferred opportunity.
