Peters Investments sold four mares from the Top 10 leaderboard at the Magic Millions Digital Sale which closed yesterday, January 7.
Sale-topper Twilight Tale (Savabeel) was purchased for $115,000 by New Zealand-based Go Racing and Blandford Bloodstock. The 4yo mare won at Ascot this time last year and was subsequently black-type placed in the LR Ascot 1000 Guineas (1800m) and LR Natasha Stakes (2200m). Her dam Dreamaway (More Than Ready) was a Group 1 winner of the 2011 WA Derby (2400m) in the cerise and white silks.
“Recently we’ve been doing our best to reduce numbers with so many young horses coming through the system,” Byerley Bloodstock’s Liam Peters noted.

“Sometimes these well-bred and performed mares are the ones that put their hands up to be moved on and it was great to see them get such good results.”
Blueblood 6yo Regal Statue (Nicconi) was second on the leaderboard going to Davison Racing for $90,000. A multiple Ascot-winning mare, she is a full-sister to Graceful Girl (G1 Winterbottom Stakes) and State Solicitor (G3 Colonel Reeves Stakes) and a half-sister to Respondent (G2 WA Derby).
City-winning mares Astro World (Pierro) and Ideally (Vancouver) also made the Top 10 for $42,500 and $30,000 respectively.
Among the many young horses coming through for the Peters family is promising 2yo debutant Optimus Prime who has opened a $3.40 second favourite for the $80,000 Magic Millions Plate (1100m) at Ascot this Saturday. Optimus Prime cost $40,000 from Mogumber Park at the 2025 Perth Magic Millions and Liam Peters manages the son of Safeguard for a syndicate that includes his mother Melissa and sister Ellie.
His yearling half-brother by Marine One (Capitalist) has been catalogued as Lot 354 by Mogumber Park at the 2026 Perth Magic Millions. He’s the final foal from Go Daisy (Show A Heart) and her earlier deliveries include Belmont winner Red Square (Russian Revolution).
