Prince Of Dala had won his maiden on debut at Pinjarra last month and proved that was no fluke when doubling up from an outside gate in the Racing @Pinjarra Park Hcp (1400m) on Wednesday.

The Stephen Miller-trained son of Snippetson crossed a capacity field to take up the running for Brad Parnham and wasn’t for running down despite a brief challenge from the favourite Dark Ambition (Awesome Rock) in the straight.

Miller and Parnham are good mates and they combined for a big payday with Magnificent Andy (Magnus) in the $1 million KBRC Golden Saddle (1200m) at Kalgoorlie in October.  His dam Yaloginda (Trade Fair) has a PPT to Alwyn Park sire Maschino for owner-breeder David Reed.

Prince Of Dala was doing better than anything else on the line at Pinjarra and can keep winning before finding his mark.  He’s by former Scenic Lodge stallion Snippetson and is the first winner from Dala Lass who was never sighted at her only start in a Bunbury 3yo maiden for trainer Bruce Watkins.

Dala Lass has a filly foal by Gingerbread Man and her most recent cover was by Alwyn Park resident Minsk Moment (I Am Invincible) who also raced in the Royal Blue and Pink Hooped silks of Group 1 owner-breeder Keith Biggs.

Second-dam Woodala (Woodman) won the $100,000 Northam Cup (2300m) in 2006 for trainer Alan Mathews and third-dam Darmala (Danehill) is a half-sister to Majestically (G3 AJC Summer Cup) and the dam of Demerger (G1 Adelaide Cup).

Prince Of Dala was the first-leg of a half-dozen winners for Snippetson that continued with a double at Carnarvon on Friday (Simply Rosso & Undercover Sniper) and a treble in Kalgoorlie on Sunday (Call Me Frosty, Door Buster & Monty Zoomer).

Alwyn Park sire Maschino was also in the frame with Diamonds’n’rubies for Roger Waddell at York on Thursday and Gogo Grommett for Gangemi Racing at Belmont on Saturday.

Adding to the haul were last week’s Awyn Park-bred winning graduates Big Kay Dog (I’m All The Talk) for Aaron & Misty Bazeley at Pinjarra and Sesh (Sessions) for trainer Rhys Radford at York on Thursday.
