Gold Front Thoroughbreds

This striking Gingerbread Man filly was in focus when Gold Front’s happy snapper did the rounds for their latest Foal Friday on Facebook.

She will be hard to miss at the races with an ‘Apache Cat’ blaze and is certainly bred to win as a daughter of Wally Daly’s remarkable mare There’snonesosassy (Due Sasso).

She has a perfect record of 7 winners from 7 foals and among them is last-start Ascot winner He’s A Machino (Maschino) who has been nominated to race first-up in the LR Max Simmonds Stakes (1000m) at Ascot this Saturday.

Gold Front Thoroughbreds

Another newcomer at Gold Front is this colt by resident sire Awesome Rock from the Pearce Racing-trained winner Everything’s Sweet (Not A Single Doubt).  His dam was bred by Gervase Park and was purchased off the track for $3,000 at the 2019 Magic Millions Winter Racehorse Sale by Stephan and Nilla Kuklinski.

Everything’s Sweet also has a 2yo colt by Awesome Rock and she descends from an Aga Khan family going back to G1 English 2000 Guineas winner Doyoun (Mill Reef) who sired the G1 Breeders Cup Turf Champions Daylami and Kalanisi.

Amelia Park

“We’re thrilled with our lovely Hellbent colt out of Streetlady,” Amelia Park posted on Facebook.  “He’s a big boy and Tracey Bannister loves him.  A special thanks to Tracey for all her wonderful service with our team.”

Streetlady (USA) is a daughter of Street Boss and was imported from England in February 2025.  She won as a 2yo and 3yo in the USA and had earned black-type when runner-up in the Cincinnati Trophy Stakes at Turfway Park.

She retired to Grangemore Stud in Co. Kildare and the best of her Irish-bred foals Dunnington Lad (Camacho) has won five races to date topped by the David Chapman Memorial (1010m) at Ripon.

Scenic Lodge

Jeremy Smith and the staff at Scenic Lodge have been one of our busiest foal-watch teams at Muchea and the latest arrivals are the Aysar – True Storm filly (left) and the Universal Ruler – Poker Face colt (right).

True Storm (Hurricane Sky) is a Scenic Lodge homebred and she won sprints at Ascot (3) and Belmont (3) for trainer Jim Taylor.  Her stud career commenced with the winners Black Lightning (Blackfriars) and Weather God (Universal Ruler) – the latter in Macau – followed by Call Me Frosty (Snippetson) who completed a Kalgoorlie hat-trick for Peter Fernie in June.

Her 2yo Twist And Flip (Acrobat) sold for $31,000 at the Perth Magic Millions in February and he’s in work at Serpentine with Aaron and Misty Bazeley.

Poker Face (Snippetson) is another Scenic Lodge homebred mare and she completed a hat-trick for trainer Paige Kenney in July 2021.  She’s a younger half-sister to Karuta Queen (Not a Single Doubt) who blitzed a Magic Millions 2yo Classic (1200m) on the Gold Coast and trained on to win a G3 Australia Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley.

Poker Face foaled All On Red (Doubtland) first-up and he made an impact as an early-season 2yo with consecutive all the way wins at Ascot last October before transferring from Tiarnna Noske to Greg Eurell at Cranbourne.

Her Acrobat colt sold to Forrest Racing for $40,000 at the Perth Magic Millions in February and her current yearling is the first of two colts by Universal Ruler.
